Messeri Antonio

Antonio is a Master Mariner with extensive expertise in the field of yachting and Super Yacht management, as well as a maritime consultant and maritime mediator.

Over the years, Antonio has managed Super Yachts and Ships, including the world's largest sailing ketch. 

He has an impeccable record of never causing any accidents or damages to any vessel under his command and has overseen all aspects of ship management, including routine and extraordinary maintenance, relationships with flag and classification entities, onboard crew, and financial management. Antonio always acts in the best interest of his clients, achieving excellent results for them.

He began his career after attending nautical school, followed by the Naval Academy of Livorno, and serving as a Staff Officer in the Italian Navy. Antonio then sailed on merchant ships until 1990, where he obtained the title of Captain at the age of 28, after becoming a Master Mariner at only 25 years old.

During his time on merchant ships, Antonio was responsible for navigation on various types of vessels, including chemical tankers, multipurpose ships, roll-on/roll-off, bulk carriers, general cargo, and refrigerated ships, in all the world's oceans. He holds an unlimited international STCW 78/95 license for ships over 3000 GT since 1987, as well as Master Mariner certificates issued by the Maritime Administrations of the United Kingdom, the Cayman Islands, and the Isle of Man. He also holds an Italian license for recreational navigation and motorboats.

In 1990, Antonio entered the world of yachting by commanding a mega yacht that sailed to the Seychelles, the same yacht on which Princess Diana was aboard before her untimely passing. 

What was supposed to be a one-time trip turned into a permanent role in the industry, with the yacht owner's request for Antonio to stay on board as the Captain to undertake a world tour. 

Continuing to navigate seas and oceans as Captain, Antonio consistently enriches his experience and stays updated on the latest advancements, both in technology and regulations, combining his technical expertise with leadership. 

Since 1993, he has also been serving as a maritime mediator and a nautical consultant, further expanding his knowledge. 

He is an unparalleled and highly respected professional in the luxury yachting industry and among vessels exceeding 100 meters in length.
