Cirrus launches the Vision Jet G3

The renowned aircraft manufacturer has just unveiled an updated version of its iconic Personal Jet, packed with interesting new features.

From the outside, it still looks like the Vision Jet we know: the famous V-tail remains unchanged, as does its sleek and distinctive silhouette, and the Williams FJ33-5A turbine engine is still there. Overall performance stays in line with the latest G2+ version introduced in 2021. The only visible exterior difference appears after dark: the new Spectra wingtip lights are 2.7 times brighter than the previous ones.

It’s inside where the most meaningful updates are found. First of all, in the new Cirrus Vision Jet G3, the third row of seats has been completely redesigned. While the aircraft was previously configured for a maximum of 5 adults and 2 children, it now accommodates 6 adults and 1 child, for a total of 7 passengers. That makes it easier to travel with the whole family, or a larger business team.

Along with passenger capacity, the interior finishes evolve as well: Alcantara upholstery and carbon-fiber elements make their appearance. The middle and rear seats remain removable to support different mission profiles, but passengers in the back now benefit from more legroom. In addition, a concealed device mount on the back of the seats can hold passengers’ devices, enabling fully customizable in-flight entertainment.

The bulky central console that previously took up space between the seats is gone, replaced by tables that can be folded away conveniently.

Some of the most important innovations involve avionics: Garmin’s Perspective Touch+™ system, which separates information between the Primary Flight Display and the Multi-Function Display, now adds several new functions designed to provide the pilot with the information they need while reducing workload. Key highlights include:

• ATC Datalink: Pilots can text ATC to receive route updates, altitude assignments, and more.Automatic Database Updates: Flight data is always up to date, streamlining the preflight process with the Cirrus IQ PRO Advanced™ subscription.

• Alerts-Linked Checklists: Quick access to relevant checklists during high-workload scenarios when a caution or warning alert may arise.

• Taxiway Routing and 3D SafeTaxi®: Increased situational awareness with clear airport surface maps and guidance when navigating unfamiliar airports.

• Cirrus Spectra™ Wingtips & Lights: New wingtip and landing lights are 2.7 times brighter, while the signature Cirrus halo light distinguishes the jet on the ramp.

Of course, all the best-known safety features remain, such as the Cirrus ballistic parachute system and the Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland system, allowing passengers to land the aircraft autonomously in case the pilot becomes incapacitated—among many other features.
